Children under two years of age are considered infants and may travel on an "infant fare" ticket equivalent to 10% of adult fare. Due to the reduced fare, infants are not entitled to a seat, baggage allowance, or food service. Space permitting, a collapsible stroller may be accepted in the passenger cabin or checked as baggage.

Infants requiring a separate seat must travel on an adult-fare ticket, in which case a portable baby carrier may be attached to the seat and used except during take-off and landing, provided that it meets security requirements.

All infants must have a ticket to be boarded. For security reasons, medical certification documenting physical fitness for air travel is required for infants less than seven days old.

For the infant's comfort, any items that may be needed during the flight should be included in a carry-on bag. Flight attendants are available to provide any special assistance that may be needed during the flight.

Traveling with 2 infants?

If traveling with two infants, one may be held by the accompanying adult and travel on an infant fare ticket. The other must occupy an assigned seat and fly on an adult fare ticket, which includes a baggage allowance and the right to food service (restrictions apply).

Car seats:

  • Car seats may be brought on board only for use by infants flying with a paid, assigned seat, in which case the car seat may be placed on it.
  • The car seat must be approved by the Federal Aviation Association (check the back of the seat for FAA approval) or be checked as an extra piece subject to excess baggage charges.
