Travel Protection is an insurance provided by AIG Travel Guard. TACA is not responsible for any claims associated with any event covered by the insurance policy. The passenger should contact AIG Customer Service (download PDF document) for assistance.


Terms and Conditions:

  • Medical Expenses due to sickness are not covered if the insured is traveling within the country of residence.
  • Premiums in this quote are net of taxes.
  • Maximum coverage length of 180 days per trip.
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage’s are limited to a maximum of US$ 5,000 for children (under 16 years old).
  • Minimum age of coverage: 6 months
  • Maximum age of coverage: 75 years old.
  • All values are expressed in US Dollars.
  • Domestic Partner is part of the definition of Immediate Family Member.
  • Baggage will be secondary coverage
  • AIG is responsible for the reimbursement of Travel protection, a 30% surcharge will be applied. The passenger should contact AIG (download PDF document) to complete the reimbursement process.
  • In case of change of travel dates, if the new stay period is less than originally stated there will be no extra charge. If the new stay period is longer:
    • If new stay is less than or equals 30 days there will no extra charge.
    • If new stay is more than 30 days the daily premium detailed in the insurance description will apply.
    • If the Airfare doesn’t allow flight date changes, the travel protection will not allow them as well.
