Surfboards:
As checked baggage:
- Up to 2 surfboards in one bag permitted per passenger
- Charge of US $95 per bag, each way, with the exception
of Miami to San Jose, San Jose to Miami and any route from/to Brazil
with a charge of $50 per bag, each way
As extra baggage:
- Subject to space availability (Standby Bag)
- US $100 per bag charge each way
Packaging:
- Must be resistant to normal handling
- Fins must be removed or a form signed to relieve the
airline from responsibility for any damage
- Clothing and other articles may not be included
- Damaged packaging and packaging not resistant to normal
handling are not accepted
- Damaged surfboards are not accepted
Not accepted as baggage:
- Windsurfing boards.
- Kayaks
- Surfboards exceeding 12 feet /3.7 m. in length.
- Diving tanks

Other sports equipment:
- Other sports equipment may be checked as one of the
2* pieces permitted in your checked baggage allowance.
- Sports equipment is subject to overweight and oversize
baggage charges for passengers checking extra pieces in addition to
their free baggage allowance.
- Of the following kinds of sports equipment, one per
passenger is permitted as part of the baggage allowance:
- Fishing: 2 fishing
poles not exceeding 85 inches (216 cm), 1 pair of boots, 1 fishing
net
- Golf: Up to 14
clubs, 12 golf balls, and 1 pair golf shoes, all packed in 1 golf
bag
- Bicycles: 1 bicycle
packed in a case or cardboard box, with pedals removed and steering
wheel parallel to body
- Diving: 1 air
regulator, 1 pair rubber fins, 1 conventional harpoon, 1 diving
mask, 1 wet suit, 1 weight belt
- Archery: 1 bow
plus arrows packed in a case designed for archery equipment.
- Ski: 2 poles,
1 pair each of skis, boots, and shoes.
