Baggage policy efective February 2008
Economy Class
- Checked baggage: Two pieces weighing up to 50
lbs./22 kg, and up to 62 linear inches/157 cms. (length + height
+ width).
- Carry-on baggage: One piece weighing up to
22 lbs/10 kg, and up to 45 linear inches/114 cms. (length + height
+ width).
Clase Ejecutiva
- Checked baggage: Three pieces weighing up to
50 lbs./22 kg, and up to 62 linear inches/157 cms. (length + height
+ width).
- Carry-on baggage: One piece weighing up to
22 lbs/10 kg, and up to 45 linear inches/114 cms. (length + height
+ width).

Baggage services
Boxes
- We accept boxes as part of your baggage
- If the passenger travels with 2 boxes and no
additional baggage, these boxes will be included within their
baggage allowance and will travel with him
- The same surcharges and restrictions for overweight
and over dimension as checked baggage will apply.
Overweight baggage that travels with you
- Pieces weighing between 51 lbs./22 kgs. and
70 lbs./31kgs., and up to 62 linear inches/157 cms. (length +
height + width): 50 USDper piece
Oversize or overweight baggage traveling Standby (part of your two
pieces):
- Pieces weighing more than 70 lbs./31 kgs. but
less than 100 lbs./45kgs. or with more than 62 linear inches/157
cms., but less than 85 linear inches /215 cms. become standby
bags: 100 USD per piece
Extra baggage traveling Standby (third piece or more):
- Pieces with a weight equal to or less than 50
lbs/22kgs.: 100 USD per piece
- Pieces with a weight greater than 50 lbs./22
kgs., but less than 70 lbs./31 kg..: 150 USD per piece
- Pieces with a weight greater than 70 lbs./31
kgs., but less than 100 lbs./45 kg. or greater than 62 linear
inches/157 cms.,but less than 85 linear inches /215 cms.: 200
USD per piece
Pieces above 100 lbs./45 kg. and / or 85 linear inches /215 cms.
are not considered luggage and must be documented at our offices
in TACA

Tips:
- Pack any valuable articles (money, jewelry,
etc.) in your carry-on baggage.
- Identify your baggage with the free baggage
tags available at check-in counters. Include your name, address
and telephone number where you can be located if necessary.
- Avoid excess baggage charges by complying with
weight and size limitations.
- Present any damaged baggage claims before leaving
the airport. TACA is not responsible for minor damage (scratches,
dents, wheels, etc.) caused by normal handling or overstuffed
bags.
