To find out the Miles you need for traveling with our air partners, follow these easy steps:

  1. Look up your region, look for your origin (second column) and then your destination (third row).
  2. Find out how many Miles you need for your award according to your traveling season (low season or high season)

Conditions on Reward Tickets:

  • One stopover on route permitted per round-trip reward ticket (includes stops of more than 24 hours for connecting flights)
  • "Open Jaws" and stopovers are permitted on either end of the journey (origin or destination) as long as the new city (origin/destination) is within the same zone as the original. An Open Jaw is a route in which the passenger after traveling from origin "A" to destination "X" either returns to "A" from another city "Y", or returns from city "X" to other city "B".
  • Miles redeemed for reward tickets to travel with DISTANCIA air partners may be used only on flights operated by that airline
  • Reward tickets may include coupons for flights on one other airline (except TACA Regional) in addition to TACA
  • Two separate reward tickets are required for travel between Central and South America when connecting via a North American gateway
  • If the departure or return date falls within the High Season, then the High Season Table will be used to determine the amount of Miles necessary for the Award Ticket.
  • Due to the structure of the new Redemption Tables, changes from Low season to High season will have an additional fee of US$125
  • Time Limits for reservations will be set according to the following schedule:
    • If you make reservations 8 or more days prior to your flight; you’ll have 72 hours in which to redeem your miles and issue your ticket.
    • If you make reservations up to 7 days prior to your flight; you’ll have 24 hours in which to redeem your miles and issue your ticket
  • Administrative Fees apply for redeeming reward tickets in TACA, AVIANCA, UNITED & IBERIA: $15USD for rewards tickets redeemed 15 days prior to the flying date; $50USD for rewards tickets redeemed between 15 and 6 days prior to the flying date; $75USD for reward tickets redeemed 5 or less days, prior to the flying date. $15USD for all TACA Regionales reward tickets redemption.
