Purchase E-coupons






Travel in Clase Ejecutiva and enjoy all of its benefits in your next flight by purchasing E-coupons.

What you need to do

1. Verify the amount of E-coupons you need for traveling in Clase Ejecutiva by clicking here.


2. Purchase from 1 E-coupon for US$ 75 + taxes or the E-coupons you need for your upgrade by clicking here, or if you prefer visit your TACA Information Center or call your local Information Number.


3. When booking your ticket please provide your DISTANCIA number and make sure you purchase any of the applicable fares (Access, Benefit or Flexible Fare Families) for this benefit.


4. If you have the necessary amount of E-coupons for your flight, you must activate your E-coupons at least 72 hours prior to your flight by entering here, or if you prefer through your nearest TACA Information Center or by calling your local Information Number. We recommend you choose the “automatic” E-coupon feature in your profile so you don’t have to activate your E-coupons each time you travel.


5. You will receive an email confirmation from 48 hours up to 3 hours before your flight departure.

Conditions and restrictions:

     
  •  
  • It’s not permitted to request upgrades, E-coupons use or activation at the airport.
  • The upgrade will be authorized for one or more segments/stops of your trip, depending on the seat availability our system finds at the business Class cabin. TACA reserves the amount of seats that are authorized for upgrades.
  • The flight reservation must be for a maximum of 2 passengers. (infants are not allowed)
  • In the case, two passengers are traveling in the same booking and the passenger that requested the upgrade has the required amount of E-coupons, the system will seek to authorize the upgrade to both passengers, if the system finds only one seat available, it won’t authorize the upgrade. If the passenger that requests the upgrade travels with another person in his/her same booking and wishes to make the upgrade applicable only for him/her, he/she must request to be in a separate booking by calling his/her local TACA Information Number before activating his/her E-coupons.
  • E-coupons are not refundable, have a one life year after its purchase or accrual, and can be extended for one additional year if the requested upgrade has not been obtained
  • E-coupons are not transferable. For members that are Citi DISTANCIA Real or AMERICAN EXPRESS® DISTANCIA CREDOMATIC Credit Card holders the E-coupons apply for the main credit card holder and his/her booking traveling companion (in other words, the companion has the upgrade at no cost). A DISTANCIA Member that is not a credit card holder of the banks mentioned above, can redeem or purchase E-coupons for another person as long as this person travels in the same booking as the member.
  • The E-coupons will be accrued exclusively in the main credit card holder account. The upgrade will only be authorized if one of the passengers traveling is the main credit card holder.
  • As part of their benefits, HORIZONTE Members enjoy courtesy upgrades when traveling with a Benefit, Flexible or Access fare from our Fare Families, without needing E-coupons and taking in consideration space availability, their own conditions and procedures.
  • Tickets acquired through DISTANCIA Mile redemption are not subject to upgrades.
